Week2  all things telecom not a post to inquire how the world is doing a post to make us better innovate and keep us going down the right path week in the Telcom industry




I will be posting only Verizon, Frontier and New Telecom ; please feel free to add comments based on your experience with all things Telecom.  Phones, New Innovative Products.

Digital transformation runs into the same problem. We’ve all become obsessed with the pieces we are interested in.  The three telco’s see transformation as primarily a technology challenge or a new digital service opportunity or a cultural change or a customer engagement issue. Transformation is all of the above, and more.



Verizon/fGTE Frontier Communication all start as coming from discrete network elements to an autonomously managed, virtualized communications and cloud infrastructure

The telco must evolve from a closed IT architecture, where it only delivers its ‘own services’ to its ‘own customers’, to an open platform architecture – accessed through openly available APIs.
This open platform will be expected to support the development of both internally developed telco services, and externally developed third-party services.


I believe this is where Verizon is currently.   From a traditional telco organization and culture, to a digital organization and culture


  The culture that worked for typically stable infrastructure-centric organizations offering a limited portfolio of traditional services in competition with other telcos, will be very different from the organization and culture needed to offer a wide portfolio of digital services in competition with internet and over-the-top (OTT) players.



This is probably the most difficult transformation journey to map and the most painful to travel, as it impacts on peoples’ skills and behaviors.  From focusing on traditional channels, to adopting multiple channels to market.


If everyone goes on the same path no once company can differentiate it self - New Telecoms will start their Journey 1, moving through each Journey until either they sell the company or merge with other companies.


Bigger two telcos, will have differentiate themselves from OTT, IOT to keep everything fresh, which is why 5G is important to all of the moving parts

  1. All companies AT&T, Verizon, Frontier have an online and off line presences. Everyone can view them however clean up needs to be done for a simply easier,experience. Based on my expertise, I tried to easily order items, found that not as simple as needed.

    All as I record your insights as to how these companies uses online and offline technologies .
    1. Deliver simple, frictionless and rewarding experiences all 3 are definitely working on this
    2. Lead In connectivity towards integrated solutions
    3. Transform all video to meet customer needs. AT&T, has a better pretense through there merger with Time Warner Media
    4. Deliver global end-to end solutions, Verizon has a better start, AT&T s headed straight to market, Frontier is definitely based on my google alerts behind in this project.
    5. Drive meaningful customer experience. Both AT&T and Verizon

  5. Verizon Google Alert postings are following the pattern of pointing out the mistakes. As well as how they can make it better overall.

    The plan for Verizon to finally help in blocking Robo Calls should be a successful one; happy to not have 115 calls in a 48 hr window if this happens.

  6. Answering the below Questions:
    en following. Do the e-mails follow good direct marketing and e-mail design principles? Are they compliant with the CAN-SPAM act? What changes would you make to these e-mail strategies? Both Verizon & Frontier are compliant; and quick to adjust should any issues arise out of their procedures. Employee dedication and education yearly reminders help in analyzing, the process if a breach occurs.

    Analyze the website you are following to determine if the company is using the Internet Is to their full advantage. Verizon website and Frontier website both need a simpler way of communicating their packages and promotions, I would say they are missing a couple of advantages as a result of their sites.
    Evaluate a website in terms of how it uses the critical strategy elements of direct marketing to achieve its generic direct marketing strategy goals.
    Product
    Price
    Promotion
    Plan

    While these are important - the results need to be used effectively through a campaign.
    All the companies provide the above - some plans are successful in regards to the campaigns, it will generate revenue, through calls, emails and on line marketing.
    Immediate correction of the course, through on line reviews, through a revenue stream.
